I was definitely on the outer limits of my camera on these;
sorry.
Click on the thumbnails to get an intermediate version. (I posted
these for people like me with dial-up connections.) The links
past the thumbnails can be used to download as near original as I
could upload with my ftp program; most are compressed like 4
percent and run around 900 K. (For a page with more pics click here.)
The pics were taken with a Coolpix 990 digital cam and a TC-E2 (2x) tele-converter. Nikon makes great stuff, though this naturally isn't the equal of their digital SLRs, which run like five grand. I used the 'fine' setting which gave me jpeg files of 2048 x 1536 pixels. The 'sensitivity' was set at 400 ASA, and all of my pictures except a couple of test shots were on shutter priority 1/60 sec. I was zoomed out to maximum optical zoom for most shots also, and the light meter was set to center spot. I left the camera on autofocus, also set on the center spot. Focusing at this distance was something of a problem.The apertures were recorded as being from 3.0 to 8.0 during Bob's show.
Here is a
microphone moment with the oscar visible just to Tony's left.
